They are

Yes, but thats not the only purchase option. Its like the scarlet/violet option posted above. There are many ways to get kirby and the forgotten land for cheaper and then paying the dlc that would cost in total less than 80$, considering what you posted contains literally the switch 1 cartridge with the dlc download code. Its really not a big deal, this is by far the least problematic aspect of the pricing
Insane how close to the ps5 version and better than PS4, steam deck and Xbox series s the switch 2 port looks, and yet it also has the lowest input latency in all the consoles. Basically the best version of the game on console, and i would've never thought it would've been the Nintendo switch 2 version. I might even consider getting it ngl, highly impressed
We went from getting miracle ports to have in house, best version ports of big third party games, thats crazy

Glad all the speculation and hopes came true
Wanting to buy Mario party but what’s a better option buying the game for switch 1 and buying the upgrade or getting the switch2 version

The first option, always
And it’s only a 1 time use
Hell yeah EA online passes ARE BACK
And it’s only a 1 time use
Nintendo is selling half assed physicals now, it’s so f***in over
I think like mostly everyone, I hated the new boxart for Switch 2
But looking at the full physical, I’m digging this HEAVY with the wraparound artwork

And it’s only a 1 time use
This makes no f***in sense
Hope the Nintendo rep is wrong
All this Switch 2 discourse and the s*** gonna still sell like hotcakes.
We seen this same s*** with the PS5 and $70 games. People like to b**** and moan and talk about how they gonna boycott or buy an alternative (Steam Deck lol) but the sales figures always tell a completely different story.
Either buy the Switch 2 or don't man. Nobody cares bout ya phony soapbox.

Kind of reminds me of the PS2 greatest hits box art. Not mad at the NS2 box art in any compactor though. Maybe could have made it slightly smaller but I think it’ll be fine.

We’re likely hearing a loud minority like most of the internet. I could see sales not being as high if we see a 50-100$ increase because of tariffs but I agree that it’ll sell regardless.

S***, even the people complaining about the price of the games. As if people haven't been dropping $70 and more on PS5 and Xbox games along with all the money they spend on MTXs. Do any of y'all really believe people are gonna draw the line at having to spend $10 more? Delusion.
And this ain't even to defend Nintendo cause the prices are ridiculous. But the prices are clearly a result of them paying attention to trends within the industry and consumer data. S***, they sneakily raised the price of Metroid Prime Remaster to $60...a remaster! Of a f***in Gamecube game! And people still bought it!
People of course felt like dumbasses when it inevitably dropped to $40. Nintendo just got to see that people were dumb/desperate enough to still pay the $60 for it
The reason why these game companies keep pulling this greedy gross bullshit is because they understand the reality that gamers these days, casual or hardcore, are some f***in cucks lmao

It's literally just PC master race dorks desperately begging people to buy a Steam Deck yappin away because they're so chronically online that they don't understand the average person is not buying a Steam Deck to be an emulator machine.
You can buy a Steam Deck and emulate Switch games!
As if the regular everyday person is gonna spend $400 for the console and then another $80 for a dock in order to emulate what a Switch and Switch 2 can do innately...as if people are gonna through all the nonsense of looking up compatible emulators and ROMs just to play a game when they can simply buy the Switch 2, cop a game, and then just play. People pay premium for convenience all the time. It just is what it is.
Got this one dork tryna tell me Gen Z and Gen Alpha are "extremely interested in retro games!" as if them mfs got the attention spans to figure out how to download and install emulators, ROMs, patches, etc...the same gens that complain about games not being bare minimum PS4/Xbox One graphically or only running at 30FPS lmao aight man

I mean I have a steam deck, but I only use it to play my steam back catalog. I am not about that emu life lol. It is weird though that people try and push that narrative. I also find it very infantile to be a stan of consoles. Like get what you enjoy/can afford, it’s obviously the internet and people are gonna complain/argue, but it ain’t that deep really.

everything is all pretty good in its own way idk why anyone would pick a side

They're tryna go the best value argument, and if that's the case the Steam Deck sure as s*** ain't the most cost effective console for emulation lol
I just copped a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro last month for $160...less than double the economic Steam Deck model, and I'm able to play games up to the Switch with little to no issue. I love this f***in this thing man lmao I still have my Switch for Switch games but regardless. Why don't I see people recommending that or any of the other handheld Android/Linux based consoles that are significantly cheaper and capable of emulating old games with all the modern bells and whistles?
I just wish these people would knock off the bullshit and just admit they're caping for Gabe Newell cause it's definitely not about saving people money

Exactly, I am not entirely fond of the Xbox console anymore though just because you can get games pass anywhere, but also if you can only afford the streaming Xbox get it.
