I wouldn't be surprised to see the VC become even less of an afterthought than it already is

With the success of the remakes my guess is that they will continue to add games for the consoles currently on it, but never add newer consoles until sales dip or even the next console

I 100% see them going crazy with remakes and selling them at 50-60 each. They were way too successful with all stars

The games that they think won't sell as well as remakes will be shipped off to NSO

Think imma give up on Nintendo tbh switch was personally a flop for me

I know it’s lame / Nintendo fanboy s***, but what I’m looking forward to most for Switch 2 is ports / collections lol

Rumor is Nintendo will change the cartridge so that Switch 2 cartridges will be cheaper to produce and be able to hold more GBs

Which means we can get bigger games to fit COMPLETE on cart and collections can fit fully on cart

Or getting 1st party games with their DLC rereleased on cart

I know I know, I’m a fanboy willing to pay full price on carts. I just like the complete game on cart

And to think we could get a BOTW + DLC at 4K 60FPS all on cart is awesome

Also a lot of games that ran at 30 on Seitch and hopefully getting them at 60 for Switch 2.

The main games were downgrades in every way for me personally. I’ve played like 5 games max on it, I barely use it, I am NOT excited for an odyssey 2 or breath of the wild 3 as im done w this gaming trend of bloated but empty content which was prevalent this generation

Odyssey and BOTW are clearly LOVED. From a critic and fan standpoint, as well as both selling extremely well

So many games from the Switch generation are some of my favorite games and possibly the best in the series.

Why even buy ports like that this day and age?

For the price of 1 game you can get a whole console that can play all those GameCube/Wii and older games at this point

3ds is objective peak and I never even had one till recently

It’s not objective peak at all, not by any metric. In terms of sales the best selling game on 3ds sold like 18m copies, totk sold that many copies in like a month. mk8 sold 62m on switch for comparison.

animal crossing sold 45m for new horizons on switch. it sold 13m on 3ds.
