I mean I really doubt the switch can handle that at 60fps which is what the trailer looked like unless I’m tripping

There’s like 5-6x more stuff happening in the background compared to prime remastered, all those moving assets with their own animations and effects. I have a hard time believing it would run that smooth on switch.

Nah Switch can definitely run Prime 4 at a locked 60.

Only difference between both versions will be 4K and maybe better textures

If it doesn’t run well it’s kind of a bummer this wasn’t pushed to 2025 as a cross-gen title

What do we know / what have we heard about the new console?

If TTYD had files for it, it’s safe to assume it will be able to run regular Switch games, but will you be able to move your digital purchases over?

It will also probably keep the Switch Online emulators and everything, since they’re still adding more.

Is it just gonna be a big hardware boost, essentially? They’ve gotta have a few big titles up their sleeve that won’t run on Switch, if they want it to sell well.

I don’t think so regarding your last point, the big games at switch launch were botw and mk8 which were both on Wii U as well and obviously switch still sold very well so no “true” exclusives are not necessary for switch 2 to sell well tbh

think of it like PS4 to PS5 imo
