Last time they did was 2017 arguably

Oh I forgot about handheld Kirby’s, never played them. Just talking about console Kirby’s
Switch 2 is inevitable but where will they go after the switch is over? It seems like the ultimate Nintendo console and I don’t see how they can drop something that will excite people like the switch did

Its just gonna have better hardware.
Its just gonna have better hardware.
I know switch 2 will, I’m talking down the line
Surely they can’t keep making new switches every few years? Innovation is nintendos MO

I don't think they will release a console every few years look at the life of the 3ds s*** was supported for like ten years. I think the switch will be around for a long time

Wii led to Wii U 5-6 years later so why wouldn’t they do the same this time?

They cant go back to have 2 consoles at the same time, and i doubt they'll ever leave handheld consoles altogether, so their future is either portable console only or they'll keep the hybrid form with innovations in other factors
Been thinking about botw2 again recently, and i found these videos which explain in great detail the patents released a few months ago

That’s not quite what I mean by innovation. I’m talking about new ways to play games

Nintendo is going to the Apple route with how they upgrade their iPhones. Switch will be focusing on upgrading different versions of the Switch model. Like other folks have said, and Nintendo themselves have said…the Switch will be around for a long time. Which is a good thing, Nintendo doesn’t have to focus on new hardware so much. They have enough of their own IPs to make.
