Takahashi said it would be too time consuming and would need a high budget cause he wants to rework every texture and every model to bring it up to par, on top of wanting to add new content, so i dont see it happening anytime soon sadly

Might be a hot take but Paper Mario 64 is the best Paper Mario. I haven't played any of the online games but if I ever get the upgrade (on a family plan that is thinking about upgrading): I might actually replay Paper Mario 64. Great game, one of the best ever made.

How they are handling NSO is absolutely horrible I refuse to believe Nintendo Japan is this tone deaf. From the looks of it if they are doing 1 game a month. The games they showed are or probably the only other ones getting added to the service. People paying the 20$ a year get f***ed with no new NES or SNES games

I played like 20 nes/snes game after 2 years of nso subscription, if nintendo sold the games separately id have paid a bit more than double what i actually paid with nso. Also, people only want 3 new games for base tier, and i doubt 3 games would make paying 20 dollars more worthy to people who already dont like that price. To me the base tier has always been a steal, a bit less than 2$ a month, the problem is the expansion

People who complain about the base tier price are just cheap. 20 a year is definitely worth it for what we got. But it’s just kind of crappy we got all the generic first parties and not any of the good third party games. There are so many nes and snes gems that can come to the service still and I get licensing is a thing but we are legit getting dog s*** right now. Last good game we got was DKC3 and that was a year ago. I even tried to be open minded with some of the other additions that I wasn’t familiar with they just weren’t good flat out.

Tbh idk what 3rd party game they could get besides super mario rpg and chrono trigger that arent on sale elsewhere. Also, the price was low probably because nintendo didnt make a deal with square; apparently expansion pack price was that high cause of the deal with sega, although atm it didnt seem worth it, since besides the launch games we didnt get anything new for the genesis lol. I would like to get smt 1, smt 2 and if tho, maybe even the fire emblem games translated, that would be incredible value for me although they're very niche

I'm thinking about buying a switch during the holidays since a new gpu is out of the question and PS5 is also very expensive in my country, but I'm indecisive whether I want to purchase it or not yet.
What should I do?

You either buy it now and play all the great games you missed out on or you wait until 2023 to get the next switch which will most definitely have backwards compatibility so you can also play these games and more. So it really depends on how much you want it or rather how long you're willing to wait.
