When I said it looked like a 3DS game I meant the blocky level design of 2D platformers like this

story wise its the continuation to metroid fusion we've been waiting 19 years for, and gameplay wise its looking like the first truly open 2D metroid we've gotten since super metroid which to me and many others is still the gold standard for metroidvanias even after all these years

i do agree that if this weren't metroid there's no way it justifies the $60 price tag when games like hollow knight are out there for less than 1/3 of that price, but metroid stans have waited too long for this to not cop it now
