Wonder how these N64 games will play if not using the N64 controller, since that controller with the C buttons deviates from their traditional A,B,X,Y layout. I’m sure it’ll work but the actual experience is something to think about.
I've only played n64 games with the wii pro controller and the switch joycons and there really isnt any problem afaik. The n64 wireless controller is cool, but for 50$ its a pass for me, joycons are fine.
Usually the c buttons are mapped to the right joystick
Cant wait for when diddy kong racing makes it to nso, especially if its online compatible
Well mario 64 already plays perfectly well on the pro controller in my opinion
Mario 64 is different because the C buttons were used just for the camera. However a game like OoT they were used for items. I’m pretty sure the buttons will be mapped out to the Z and L/R buttons for regular switch controllers.

Man Rare was on an all time run with N64, I just hope Microsoft doesn’t act like pussies.

N64 controller worst oat imo, definitely passing on that
Sega Genesis online?

Diddy kong is nintendo's property so they can release it with no problem, and since banjo has made it to nso, i expect the other games to be here too. Microsoft doesnt care about those games after all, it wont hurt them to put those games on switch

I always found it fascinating but i've never used one so i cant speak on the quality. I do know about the lawsuits nintendo got cause of that damn joystick cause people would get hurt when playing Mario party lol
yeah theyve been lacking content for so long compared to the s***ty mobile game
yeah game got insanely boring. i hope new update can bring it back in a way. i never played new leaf but people say that you can play it for a lot longer and it is not getting boring at all

yeah they're bringing the café back from new leaf(?) i think
idk i think it got boring for me cause i sped through all the island upgrades
it's cool watching island tours on youtube and trying to make cool builds, it turns the game into a big creative outlet

The quality was fine, it’s the layout with the a***og and d-pad that just isn’t practical. Especially since there was a 3D explosion and a***og, the d-pad was totally useless for most N64 games. A lot of people held that controller reaching over the d-pad to use the a***og stick.

Damn that's interesting, in retrospect that controller was so revolutionary but at the same time so uncomfortable to hold
The port begging ive seen online for bayonetta 3 is insane lol, people should know that without nintendo's money neither bayo 2 nor bayo 3 would exist, its as much a sega ip as its a nintendo ip

Mario 64 plays amazing on a gamecube controller but I’m a casual that doesn’t utilize the moment like speedruners
thoughts:
-not a big kirby guy so that doesn't do much for me, but it looked cool if you like kirby
-N64 games are solid enough but I'm curious what the price will be. not ideal that they are putting them in a higher price tier. didn't see Wave Race on the list which is a bummer.
-Splatoon? meh. idk if I should give this series another chance after skipping Splatoon 2.
-Metroid Prime looks amazing
I’m not a big Kirby fan either, the last good Kirby game was Air Ride but this new 3D semi-open world Kirby game looks amazing!

Yep, it wasn’t bad holding the middle stem for a***og. It was quite comfortable and had a nice little Z button underneath to be used as the L button. However though that still doesn’t make up for the design flaw with d-pad and L button because it was never used.
Good thing Nintendo quickly adjusted and made the best controller oat with GameCube
This whole time I wanted a Kirby 64 sequel but they gave me something better
Look at you getting all excited
Stayed up too late playing Mario Golf and I’m dead tired but my boss called in sick so it’s lit

Played a full 18 on the snow course last night, with all the trees I definitely had to use curved shots more often and it’s ideal to have the Super Set Club. It seems Nintendo decided to wait on releasing the more challenging courses.
It is kinda crazy Nintendo is selling Sega hardware now
$50 for that controller when the SNES one is $30
