If you don't like racing games or sandbox games (city trial) you won't like kirby air riders.
For me those are two of my favorite genres
If you love racing games you will LOVE air riders, Sakurai cooked
I love racing games
Hate Smash Bros
Kirby Air Riders is def not worth $70, or more to the point I wasn't feeling it
Well most racing games the point is to improve your skill. This game doesn't seem much skill based. Feels pretty random.
I realise the reason I feel this way is because it's never more than just one race against your opponent. No grand prix option is crazy. No way to consistently prove you are more skilled than your opponent
And only one stadium game after city trial is also pretty dumb too
It's clearly a game made strictly for kids
The original kirby air ride has crazy amount of skill involved and im sure there are hidden tech and advance strategies in this game too.
I do agree a grand prix mode would go hard.
Less than two weeks until metroid prime 4 this doesnt feel real. Most hype ive felt since Tears of the Kingdom, the fact i don't even know what to expect and the weight of the possible misfires like that marvel npc makes the wait even more unbearable, i cant wait. Doesnt help that replaying prime remastered once again has only increased my hype
I pre-ordered Metroid the same day I pre-ordered Kirby. I am so excited for Prime 4! The Prime series is one of the best series ever.
I’m replaying all the Metroid games on switch rn
zero mission is just
Zero mission is top tier for sure. Had there not been those chozo statues telling you where to go it would've been right up there with super as my favorite 2d Metroid.
I even love the zero suit samus section, which ive heard is a somewhat unpopular opinion? Would love to have something like that again in future games

Same
Most hyped game of the year for me
I have a big problem with the switch 2 right now. Third party.
At launch we had every reason to be hopeful. Cyberpunk is incredible. But it also comes with the context of who made the port and the wizardry they are known for. It was no surprise to me. They made a good effort and it paid off.
The problem is it’s very clear other third party developers have no desire to follow suit. If the keycard s*** isnt already disheartening. These third party ports being locked at 30fps when they can easily run better on the hardware is just pissing me off at this point. Daemon X Machina being the most blatant offender of this for me.
I really hope it’s just a year one issue and going forward games run at a bare minimum of 40fps.

Switch 2 is incredibly less appealing than the Switch 1 because of the Steam Deck + emergence of PC handhelds to the point it becomes a hard sell
Library is more expensive, has an incredibly reduced title count
Like if you play third party titles, you wouldn't bother getting a Switch 2, I can see no benefit
$100 trade in for OG Switch + BOTW.
+15% Target employee discount (roughly $67.50)
+$50 Target Gift Card reward for signing up for their debit card
+$100 in birthday money
Switch 2 gonna cost me under $150 out of pocket.

That comes with every console tho tbf (on a different scale of course). Xbox series s has some trash ports, ps5 and series x have quite some games that could run better than they do, steam deck almost never gets bespoke optimization work. Optimization in general is a lost art, and im sure its difficult for devs to work on like 6 different hardware, they wont all look the best they can. Some like from got bullied into making elden ring look better and they decided to delay the game in hopes it'll pay off, while atlus rushed persona 3 for black friday and holidays.
But other than that, expect CPU to be the bottleneck this gen. Something had to give, but even then look at the huge jump from your usual 2 years late switch 1 ports to the same day switch 2 ports. For every persona 3 reload and sparking zero there's an assassin's creed shadows and resident evil requiem.
If 30fps is a deal breaker yeah don't get 3rd parties on switch 2. I personally am quite happy with the results so far and it even surpassed the general expectations of ps4 pro docked/ps4 handheld.
Don't know if true but i wouldnt doubt It anyway since miyaz is directing it
2026 gonna be unreal

this better mean we can actually deal with their 20 move combos with no breaks between better.

In development since 2019
I really wish this wasn’t pvpve but I’m hype regardless
Bumass omega pirate was surprisingly easier to deal with this time even on hard mode f*** that boss forever

This is going to be a generational title
This is going to be a generational title
This is a passion project for miyazaki, and the first title to be centered around pvp which he always wanted to focus on since demon souls but couldnt quite get it 100% right. With Nintendo money, i think hes going all out, there's no way its not a classic
How are yall feeling about Kirby air riders? I didn’t really like the demo but I’m kinda wanting to try it again
I never played the original so no nostalgia attached to it. But still don’t know how to feel about the game

It's hit or miss. Some love it some find it not so great. Personally feel it lacks longevity
Dunkey's review of air riders was the best review ive seen of that game he just gets it man
Just bought Silksong less go baby
a perfect metroidvania if there ever was one
a perfect metroidvania if there ever was one
It took me awhile to get into Hollow Knight but once I did I was hooked. The atmosphere is really top notch.
I’ve seen so many mixed reactions to the difficulty, some saying it’s harder than HK and some saying it’s easier because of the abilities and tools. Souls and ER are my fav games so I’m always down for a little frustration
