they worded that carefully to obfuscate the fact that they've actively encouraged and aggressively monetized unverified, amateur p*** videos, and that facebook will naturally have more instances because they're a much larger site and are actually making efforts to find and root out the problem
they're not comparable at all lol dont fall for that

This study evaluated the rape fantasies of female undergraduates (N = 355) using a fantasy checklist that reflected the legal definition of rape and a sexual fantasy log that included systematic prompts and self-ratings. Results indicated that 62% of women have had a rape fantasy, which is somewhat higher than previous estimates. For women who have had rape fantasies, the median frequency of these fantasies was about 4 times per year, with 14% of participants reporting that they had rape fantasies at least once a week. In contrast to previous research, which suggested that rape fantasies were either entirely aversive or entirely erotic, rape fantasies were found to exist on an erotic-aversive continuum, with 9% completely aversive, 45% completely erotic, and 46% both erotic and aversive.

I dont think the problem here is that they’re encouraging or monetizing unverified amateur p***. The huge majority of that unverified content isnt CP or rape.
As long as theyre working on a good AI to detect it and they’re encouraging reports and following it up with manual takedowns......I dont really see the problem?
Maybe im missing something tho. Either way its not that important imo, degenerate industries getting hit aint that big of a deal to me.

As long as theyre working on a good AI to detect it and they’re encouraging reports and following it up with manual takedowns......I dont really see the problem?

they're trying to "disrupt" p*** by encouraging community-sourced content, which inevitably involves less controls for things like CP, rape, human trafficking etc
it's not a problem that's incidental to their broader business model, it's intrinsically connected to it
