This is one of the best beats I've ever heard. Just so romantic and cinematic. Pretty sure he combined two different tracks

this is some heat

As expected this is pure heat. Man you gotta start posting some more music cause I know you're the most talented one on here without even having heard your stuff

I'm not talented lol
I just read and listen a lot, don't take my advice too seriously
steppy jump up thing i'm working on rn. Sub needs work, need to nail down the automation and arrangement, but I think I have all the sounds I want
Sample selection
I just looked at the snare eq

super genius shelf boost at 10k. I think I wanted to layer a clap but I was more focused on writing.
followed by Neutron doing a reckless amount of transient shaping to boost the attack and lower the sustain. Shaped the sample slightly in the sampler by lowering the decay but I guess I wanted more attack
space designer with a super low mix on the "drum booth one preset", like -40db wet.
It's also automated tune +1 semitone every other hit to give it more movement. There's a hat layered on it too
Then a clipper
yeah the hats are mainly sample selection. Pay attention to the sounds u pick and levels.
I sampled most of em off breaks I liked. Some breaks from sample packs, some from records. I use enveloper a lot to reshape the hits. Slight reverb on all of them individually, then another reverb on the hat bus, like 10% depth at a 5% mix. Super subtle stuff. Top end of the hats needs more width imo.
The faster section is a break from a sample pack that sampled "think" by lynn collins. The "Sandy" break is in there super subtly at some point too.
Bitcrushed all of em together at 12bits. I mean, samplers back then were 12 bits, can't hurt right?

Yeah those chords are such house chords lol. I really wanna hear you try a house record too, would come out sick.
Hard af
Is this a guitar or a Wurtlizer?...
Since I asked the question you guys know what it is

Hard af
I have no f***in idea what chords are playing
one chord is some random sample I found on my hard drive and pitched down then stretched, the other is from the same sample as

i was trying to flip it but I could really only make that one part work

I genuinely don't know
throwing together a bunch of samples is fun
I feel like hats are hard to balance, so i'd rather sample something that already has some kind of human element to it
I use PhatFX filter automation 90% of the time
and volume automation
and reverb send automation, that can be super cool for creating transitions
just skimmed through the project
yeah mostly volume and filter automation. Super helpful stuff for getting transitions to work and blending sounds together
I genuinely don't know
It's a Wurtlizer with chorus, warped reverb, and one of logics preset Amps I adjusted.
Logics amps are freaking AMAZING. This s*** sounds like a guitar for $0, all free plugins I'm using.

just wish there was a dry/wet in it
