I'm speculating but I think anyone who has listened to a broad range of hip-hop ain't going to spend much time on Mach. There will be exceptions to that of course.
Yep man Jay z, Alchemist, Billy Woods, Mos Def, Ka, Roc all dont have a broad range of Hip hop. I respect that at least you say you have no basis for this

If you have "zero basis" for the generalization that Mach fans have a linear taste in hip-hop, why do you make it? What in this thread influenced that point? Genuinely curious

It's based on the fact that I've listened to a ridiculous amount of hip-hop and I don't see anything in Mach. Why would I bump him when I could choose from hundreds of rappers who I think make better music? I make that generalization because I think that there are other dudes out there like me that's all. Of course in a Mach-Hommy thread it won't seem like that, but as I said before this is a small corner of the internet.

Those dudes may or may not listen to a broad range, I don't know. As I said there are exceptions though.

Yeah this is a small corner of the internet, but it's one of the least corrupt corners I've ever seen. Dudes in here have a.) mad diverse tastes in music and hip hop and b.) are extremely moderate and understanding of differing opinions (for the most part)

But I said it was my opinion and I had no basis for it. I'm a humble dude, I'm often proved slightly misguided but I'm real enough to acknowledge it. I'm also real enough to know my words can make others question their views on things they'd never previously questioned. I'm not saying all Mach fans have linear taste, I just believe many do. I could be right, I could be wrong. I suspect a bit of both.
