they do technically similar things, but one of them has a stronger catalogue, a more intriguing approach/perspective, and infinitely better taste.
Lol what is this attempt at a justification.
There's really no argument to be had, neither DOOM nor Aesop have anywhere near matched woods' output past 8 years.
In fact, I don't think any rapper has.
I don't really know what to make of the infinitely better taste comment. Both Aesop and woods have worked heavily with Blockhead. Their taste clearly makes up the same circles.
You can make the case that DOOM was better than woods, and Aesop was better. Key word being WAS. There's objectively no way that is true at this moment.
I'm a fan of all 3, but woods is an entirely different animal. His discography is one of the strongest and most varied around without a doubt. And his writing speaks for itself. Point being, he's far and away deserving of praise beyond just 'he's nice'.

had to cast a wide net so everyone would know what i was talkin about
How would you guys describe Mach’s genius/talent? I have my own ideas of what makes him so distinguished but wanna hear how others describe it

I think Nicholas Craven said it best in the YNS interview, when he said Mach-Hommy is state-of-the-art. he's just got good flows, cadence, lyrics, and an ear for beats and he's really really good at all of that. he's a jack of all trades and master of them too. he also might be the most educated rapper period with how many languages he knows and all that, while still having the street smarts all the other rappers have. it's just impressive how he has so much balance without cutting any losses, it's almost superhuman.

Well put that about sums it up
Though it may seem to be exaggerated when I say this, Mach is just a master of craft when it comes to anything art related, in my opinion. He knows how to approach the piece, you could say the correct medium & format is always in line when it comes to this man. He falls nothing short of extraordinary, fascinating to say the LEAST.

Man I love this thread
we must appreciate polyglot rappers more. shouts Crimeapple, Mach, Pun, Droog (cant wait for a Tvoy album) and them
how many languages does mach know?
he said in an interview he knows all the big romance languages. there's haitian obviously, and he sings in hebrew I believe in Droog's latest album
Only live video of mach?
There’s a few clips from the Droog show opening for Matisyahu floating around, and there’s a clip somewhere on IG of Mach and Meyhem Lauren opening for Cypress Hill performing “Wet Bally”.

Having trouble finding it but I’ll post it again if I do (I’m sure it’s 200-something pages back ITT). The video is just the beginning of Mach’s verse. Muggs is DJing. No idea what else they played, didn’t know it had happened until I saw the clip. Only clip I’ve seen where he didn’t have to pull the bandana down or put the mic underneath the bandana; whoever did sound that night really knew what they were doing.
