I doubt the technology will be good enough to make a full game off a text prompt thats as good as half life 2.
but its impressive enough that theyll round up more investors on their big gamble
Not off a single prompt for sure, but with multiple prompts, manager/subagent workflows, custom harnesses and whatever other optimizations people will figure out, it’ll absolutely become feasible to reach that level from a continuity/mechanics/physics standpoint. Obviously not matched on inspiration or creativity, but as far as raw game creation goes……

the government needs to consult with white and grey hat hackers and figure out a law about their having to be some watermark on everything thats ai generated so you can tell and making it illegal to remove it, espiclaly if you sell an item.

No it’s rational. Wanting to regulate AI is not an emotional take, its a cautious one.
its dangerous with how realistic this stuff is getting and will be. there will be no way ti figure out what is real and isnt real. dont mean a watermark on the thing you see, just some sort of indicator its ai if you open up its file or whatever. something like that.
