But the issue is that it’s not easily identifiable like AI photos, videos and music, which all have invisible watermarks
Astra is actually using the same tools a human would to make a game, so how can you tell?
Obviously there’s gonna be slop that you can be pretty sure is AI generated, but it’s not gonna be cut and dry across the board anymore.
GitHub has already been having issues, since you can’t gitblame anymore to have someone explain a specific code decision or clarify something, because nobody actually knows what the code they’re uploading does

Man what have I said that implies I love AI
All I’m getting at is that 3 years ago, an AI model generating a working React app was mind blowing, and now we’re seeing goobers in their basement using it to write playable, 3D games with proper physics and mechanics
That is insane to me and beyond scary. Like I said, not high art, not ensouled, but acting like it’s a nothingburger makes no sense to me.
oh its a big deal and freaky.
I doubt the technology will be good enough to make a full game off a text prompt thats as good as half life 2.
but its impressive enough that theyll round up more investors on their big gamble

i never thought of that. unlike paintings and stuff, videogames are just 3d assets so aethestically you wont be able to tell.
i guess until you play it and its some ahh
the government needs to consult with white and grey hat hackers and figure out a law about their having to be some watermark on everything thats ai generated so you can tell and making it illegal to remove it, espiclaly if you sell an item.
