Tangoutis there a phish album u recommend i listen to?
what is the idk appeal. is it the concert cult following like grateful dead? are they an album kinda band, or is it like inconsistent albums but everyone loves the famous highlights off each one ??
yeah the cult following is for the concerts. best jam band ever, also more improvisational than Grateful Dead was overall and wider variety of stuff they do
i think their studio albums still are good but me and most fans probably listen to live stuff 99% of the time so i would start with that. The album A Live One is probably the best to start with
they dont have any "famous" songs with the general public its just the fans really really really like Phish so everyone knows every song and the crowd energy is p crazy and really big party. Like not exaggerating the average person at the concerts I'll be at has probably been to at least a few dozen if not more concerts of theirs
they have a lot of different styles tho they do even have some almost ambient jamming stuff that maybe ud fw
