    Explain your view

oh its way too much to write tn. but i just had a lot of psych experiences, had a psychosis and all these things were like experiencing a different world you cant see or enter normally. and its as real as real life.

theres just no way what we perceive with our narrow senses and technology is the limit of whats in the universe or reality.

90% of all matter in dark matter or energy. we dont know what 90% of anything is

That's very nice but it's not in my personality to like look for help if im currently going through something

understandable. those types of experiences can be scary so just know there are people here for you if you ever change your stance on that

I may be projecting some of my own issues onto your descriptions of yours, but some of this sounds very OCD-esque, which can be comorbid with other (often paranoid or delusional) mental disorders

if that resonates with you, it's worth looking into it. Not in a corny corporate "just reach out if you're ever like a danger to yourself :(" way, but in a "they actually make very effective medication and/or specialized therapy for this" way

This is what my brother was telling me lol

Our mom had long periods of time suffering from severe OCD symptoms

I usually try not to overthink things like that though

Not really related but when I was coming down the hall to my dorm one day and there was this dude like 5 feet from my door with a bloody fist and arm, like pouring blood, who was clearly coked out of his mind

I was like "dude, what happened, u alright?" and he starts speedrunning me through his story

"yeah man so pretty much me and my boys was smoking and set the fire alarm off and we tried to get it to stop but we couldn't so pretty much I just punched the s*** out of it until it shut up and pretty soon the cops showed up and yeah man i'm definitely about to get expelled"

I was thinking "Cops?" until I stepped like a foot forward and saw cops standing not 5 feet away from us, (hallway in front of my door is a t-shaped intersection of hallways) in front of his open dorm with blood and glass and garbage everywhere

    Christ lmao

That sober morning gonna hit like a freight train

I've heard it can go very badly if people like that experiment with psychedelics

And I'm not like diagnosed with anything. I've decided I just have little rough patches/no real mental illness like that. I've also never like spoken to a professional about it though

Yeah that can be true in a lot of cases

Not encouraging you to try shrooms, because I'm no expert and it's better safe than sorry, but if it's ever something that interested you, I'd take tune's advice and start super low to see how you react to a little bit, wait for your tolerance to drop (2 weeks is rule of thumb I think), try just a little more, and go until you feel comfortable

But reiterating, better safe than sorry. Worst thing you can do is go into a psychedelic experience when you're super nervous or not ready

he accidentally hit the fire alarm and then punched it to get it to stop is insanely retarded

  • “Did consciousness evolve from complex computations among brain neurons, as most scientists assert? Or has consciousness, in some sense, been here all along, as spiritual approaches maintain?” ask Hameroff and Penrose. “This opens a potential Pandora’s Box, but our theory accommodates both these views, suggesting consciousness derives from quantum vibrations in microtubules, protein polymers inside brain neurons, which both govern neuronal and synaptic function, and connect brain processes to self-organizing processes in the fine scale, ‘proto-conscious’ quantum structure of reality.”
