I thought that art was really cool and it was a cool character
I wanna learn more about him maybe
Besides just going "oh that looks cool" which happened plenty of times
I didn't feel especially attached to/impressed by anything
I liked how there was an authoritarian Batman, and a Batman who was half joker in different universes, and how they made it a point to show that a small change in a moment in someone’s life can change the entire trajectory
I also really liked how easy to follow it was. It’s kind of impressive for a multiverse story with multiple of the same character to make it so clear

Well
It was pretty zoomed in too
It wasn't an all out multiverse event comic storyline thing
The dark knights metal event is probably more confusing and that's where this character originated
Or maybe Scott snyder is just really good at that type of thing
I would be willing to accept that as well
He is known to be good at things
yo sorry brother i just got home, thought i was gunna be home like 3-4 hours earlier.
dont worry about it :) eveyrbody else was tired or busy! we will make it work sometimes this week!!
Where is et finding these stories that end with the villain getting the ultimate W

I am sorry I know literally nothing about that stuff I have never watched a single episode

It was kind of funny how they harvested the blood of little Bruce Wayne (before his parents were even shot) to revive Batman
And then Alfred is like “don’t worry I told him not to go the movies”
As if just having your blood harvested in an alternate universe wasn’t traumatic at all

oh he jsut a legendarily unlikable character lol

What if in the alternate reality it just so happens that their mansion gets broken into on that exact night so the parents die anyway and batman turns evil because it makes him reject the idea of being a hero
So then he has his blood harvested and all because he trusted the strange alternate reality alfred he directly caused the death of his parents
He's gonna come back to their reality and like beat them up
Tbh if batman and alfred fight back that kinda makes them pricks
They would just have to take that
he cheering for joffrey in game of thrones
See Joffrey though is just a total piece of s*** with no redeeming qualities
“Evil” Batman just wants to kill bad guys
Idk tho like, Batman’s “violence isn’t the answer” ass is keeping all these villains alive and then facing them over and over again while hundreds of bystanders die every time. Whereas the Batman who laughs just kills them. It’s for the greater good

“Evil” Batman just wants to kill bad guys
I looked up some info about him and he doesn't just kill bad guys
This story does a worse job at explaining why he's so evil
But he kinda just has no moral code and spreads cruelty
Hes basically the joker on steroids
Like a joker that is as smart as Batman and able to plan like Batman
He is up to no good

I guess that’s possible but here that felt like the major plot point was Batman’s internal struggle with keeping villains alive or not
So this story makes batman look like a wimp
But really he just completely was rejecting the evil batman plans because he knows he's actually just super evil

batman’s internal struggle not to kill people or use guns a massive part of his lore.
he thinks if he does the people he kills will be replaced by worse/more people, he thinks its a slippery slope that would turn him into one of the super villains etc.
the ethics of it are toyed around with a lot throughout various batman series

Yeah if anything meeting another reality batman where he broke that code and became an evil maniac who slaughters innocents because of it probably strengthened that belief

for sure!
and the thing is, most of batman’s arcs dont say its the right decision. Ive read some where they plainly state how many people have been killed because joker escaped when he couldve been killed etc and how batman has those deaths on his concious.
it really leaves it up to the reader to decide the ethics of it and its something i think that has always made batman compelling
compared to say the punisher, who is on the opposite side of that
for sure!

Yes
I think so
If batman just killed everyone it wouldn't be fun either we would miss out on so many iconic characters

o yeah for sure
and you would also think like, this guy is a vigilante serial killer. at that point its just dexter really
