    yes thats makes perfect sense.
shes so cool too she would be down.
other women would jsut use it for clout and tell people.

AND after all these years and all his disses she’s still loyal to him by keeping it under wraps

    Exactly

Rihanna is Rihanna she could never do something wrong

And also she doesn't even need clout from drake

    he also was like
“im not going to just rap, im going to combine it with singing too”

    he made rapping gay

exactly. actually it would hurt her image because she’s perfect and why woudl she out him.
but some random ig model he usually goes for is the opposite

i wonder if this realization is how it felt for old heads who are 45+ when diddy was gay

"I know you've been hurt by someone else

I can tell by the way you carry yourself

If you let me, here's what I'll do

    I'll take care of you"

Then the verse is drake rapping from the perspective of Rihanna

"I've asked about you, and they told me things" that he's gay

"But my mind didn't change and I still feel the same
What's a life without a little fun. Please don't be so ashamed." She is telling drake it's okay that he is gay and she still cares about him and to not feel so ashamed

"Cause that truth hurts, and those lies heal" him lying to himself hides him from accepting his sexuality

Rihanna is singing from her own perspective and then drake is rapping from the perspective of Rihanna

This basically confirms drake being gay

"views" "scorpion" "certified loverboy" are boring in comparison

Then "honestly, nevermind" is a title return to form and people mostly appreciate that album

    hmmm

to be honest drake always has had haters. like back then people hated on him for being soft and zesty and whatever.

now’s its like the poeple who either changed their minds eventually or just grew up listening to him like all of us, are switching up.

He def changed his idk artisti philosophy in some ways like with CLB

choosing that cover which was almost ironic and meant to be humorous, but still designed by one of the greatest living artists. was a very different artistic lense than his older music.

so the philosophy of how things are named, the covers etc def played a role

yeah for sure. its like those bitter old heads were replaced by the young people who are on the way to becoming old heads lol.

his change in artistic philosophy which i think more aligns with contemporary high art, which is polarizing by deisgn, than it did in the past def played a role

I think one of my least favorite things about online music discourse is the performative hatred for stuff that is slightly generic or just popular and average

Like they act so offended over things that aren't at all offensive by design

its compostion is as solid as any renaissance painting.
chosing damien hiersts lsd dot painting spoof with the pregnant emojies over this, or an improved variant of this. i think is a good example of artistic decisions that are different than he made in the past that made people dislike him
