when i was discharged, they wanted to leave the tube thing in, but disconnected from the bag so if i had to come back it was already done. but in my wrist it would really impact holding a controller and playing videogames

i asked them to put it in my foot and they did so then i could play games unimpeded

Wait why were you in the hospital again

Did I miss this or did you not say

I did indeed get my tonsils taken out

I found out as an adult it makes you more likely to get cancer for some reason

Between nicotine, weird medications I was on, and that I'm just asking for it

My colitis was bad enough at one point and they couldn't find medicine that worked for me that they ended up bringing up colectomies

    Luckily that didn't happen

getting them out makes you more likely to get cancer??

how did you find getting them taken out?

people kept telling me it was going to be like a strep throat.
not at all it felt like somebody cut something out of my throat it was extruciating.

but ever since I rarely get sick. as a kid i woudl get strep or tonsillitis every couple months, and other things like stomach bugs would turn into strep. it was horrid. probably why i hate throwing up so much.

then after never had an issue again. i get sick once or twice a year and sore throats are just normal ones.

    best decision ever

apparently the younger you are the less it hurts.

i was 12 when i got mine out and I remeber being in my kitchen drinking a class of water and it made me cough or something and the pain i felt i remeber thinking, this is the most painful thing youve ever experienced i dont think physically that has ever been surpassed thankfully

    grandmas are something else man.
when my nan was dying a couple years ago, this woman didnt complain a day in her life and lived a hard ass life.

she was so sick and knew she was going to die and never had a single complaint, negative thing to say, anything. stoic to the end.

older people can be so strong

now my nan thats alive whose 98 ironically is the other way around hahahaha. shes a strong ass person she had 12 kids and all sorts of crazy stuff. but just about like health stuff she gets very anxious and always did before she was older

    good for her!
did she have one at the time she was involved with this?

to do that to a kid is like insane there would have to be literally no other option.
getting one when youre 75 after living a full life is extremely differnt than getting one as a kid
