If I retired today, and it wasn’t by way of becoming suddenly mega rich, idk what I would do with my life.

I would probably get a part time job at some store that sold stuff that I was interested in

It would be easy to work a simple job and not have to worry about money/being able to quit

Honestly for people who are able to WFH, there’s basically no point of ever retiring

I got good at the separation, one of my jobs is chill as hell so it’s pencils down don’t bother me at 5pm, i take a 15 minute walk, a power nap, then start job 2. Most people can’t mentally do that tho

My main stresses in life are my commute and lack of sleep. WFH basically fixes both of those instantly. Also, like you have the freedom to get chores done on your breaks which probably leaves your actual free time much better

It’s all relative, grass is greener type s***. If you had to do your current job but also be at work at 8am daily and all the prep that entails, it would suck infinitely more

nah you right for sure. but i dont think wfh is like cure. i think it is heavily dependent on the job you have. theres no chance i can do chores during my day.

Yeah kinda sucks. I’m based in NY but am bicoastal and live in OC a few months per year working EST hours so my WLB when im living in cali is good but unplugging isn’t easy with teams and slack on your phone

i finally muted slack after 5pm and removed it from my homescreen on my phone. i also try like burying my work laptop under a sweater or something in my office so its hidden.
