PADYBUalso poor filmmaking in general, inconsistence colour grading in the scenes, aspect ratio changing at odd times for no apparent warrant.. I forget the plethora of other s*** that bothered me but myself and my gf began to enjoy hate-watching it as it went on

I was massively disappointed my first watch leaving
I don’t hate it now but extremely gassed bc black people don’t get this kinda thing often and it’s mostly competent for what it is. If it opens the door for more “serious” black films then it’s fine by me but this had alot of issues imo
At one point I turned to her and said "this was directed by someone who is obsessed with race, It must be" and then I googled the director and had to laugh
