Im up to no good….
Forreal

I felt sometimes the non linear story hurt the momentum bc I’d get invested, moment ramps up then cut to title card. Also thought the ending while thematically makes sense was goofy (purposefully im sure) in execution. I liked the suspense portion of what’s going on more than the reveal
I can't think of a reason why we needed to watch the story unfold through all those different characters points of view
I would have preferred a slow burn that wasn't consistently cutting away after these big shocking moments to finish tiny chapters.
The only part of the film that really captivated me was the chapter focused on Justine dealing with unfair ostracization. Alex could have been worthwhile but his part was crammed with basically the entire explanation so the skeleton of the plot could actually unfold.
A more straight forward film following mainly Alex and Justine would have been a lot better. Justine's experience was legitimately interesting to watch and should have been the bridge for the movie to build an emotional connection with the audience. Archer could have been incorporated in as a side character to advance the Justine angle of the story. Alex could have been fleshed out more instead of just being "sad kid".
The whole movie makes it seem like he's too lazy to make real characters or to enhance a story past it just being an interesting idea
Can u explain whats the point of it
cause it appears in this one too and i just wanna kno why its so special
Maybe I’m wrong I’ve only seen the first two

He was deliberately paying homage to magnolia which famously did a similar thing
I liked it but as I said I had issues with how it lent to the pacing and I also was most interested in Justine so leaving her as the main pov kinda sucked. I didn’t fully hate any pov but I was also a lil bummed Alex was the longest and the last one bc again I liked Justine would def watch again tho
Just re watched Sinners, liked it a lot more this time knowing how it was structured which I figured would be the case
Still a 3.5/5 for me tho. some sloppy editing in the main vampire attack and some sloppy/ cheesy writing.
