e tLike I know it’s cliche but I grew up with being cognizant that I need to struggle to achieve what I want. And I think that’s helped me a lot in life.
I think the kids we raise today are generally made to believe that they are entitled to be treated fairly, receive the same thing as everyone else, etc. and we all know the real world doesn’t work that way.
So when they become adults they get really f***ing blindsided

Killing yourself has reverberations outside of just “your child”. It has a butterfly effect on your entire community. One of my friend’s older brothers killed himself when I was 8. I still think about him often decades later.
Killing yourself is never the answer unless you’re terminally ill or like severely disabled with no possibility of any type of enjoyable life.

yeah but also...if you say this kinda thing to one of them it kinda turns more into the approach of how we regard the "damage" and what we should do to process it, not regarding ourselves as so negatively damaged like that, etc etc . feels like theres just layers and layers on it and going that deep doesnt help me sometimes. it can just keep going around and around
and anyway i think its different for a lot of situations though, like therapy reasons range from serious psychological disorders to the more "everyone should go to therapy" type viewpoints
