Yes but I don’t think you’re understanding what I mean
Yeah well what about me
guy would look out at the crowd and be furious there were more white kids/young people than black people
artie coded
@KodakSpice madonna eats ass
The cost of greatness
Joe Jackson one of the biggest understated villains in music
Yeah he helped shape MJ into THE entertainer but he also gave MJ severe trauma that he never got to properly process and make peace with when he was alive.

he got mj addicted to plastic surgery because he'd heckle him and say his nose was too big and his pimples were ugly
Ehhh I kinda get what you mean sort of
Somewhat
I feel like what a lot of music nerds view prince as vs what the most mainstream of audiences view prince as is just super different, even almost at odds with each other in some ways. musically too
hes a super iconic and artist tho and I'd consider him mainstream for sure
Yeah like I’m not trying to actually say he’s some minuscule figure but he isn’t necessarily what people who are super into music or prince think he is either
Hell I didn’t think much of him beyond PR until I was an adult

Noname
All I wanted paramore now playing
10/10
Playing God my first Pmore song I liked
Lovely song truly
10/10
prince would've been bigger than madonna if he wasn't braindead
he picked the wrong/bad options every single time post purple rain movie release
a litany of controversy and deliberately bad decisions killed his momentum until SOTT and then he killed it again that same year
blows off we are the world, bodyguard punches out pap same night they recorded the song, blowing off live aid and ending the PR tour early so they couldn't ask him to tour the world, not doing a single bit of press until late 1985 where he acted like a cultist, parade's whole era
guy was like kanye, he'd get momentum and then deliberately do everything to sabotage it and have people not pay attention
strange little man

@YungPapi what did you think of your first madonna album
gonna peep another?
ray of light def gonna blow your mind
Will peep another 100%
Lot of really nice touches of strings or synths in the right pockets everytime. Her vocals were great and everytime I thought I wouldn’t like a song it became so relentless that nah the end I’m like wow she really won me over with even this one
he got mj addicted to plastic surgery because he'd heckle him and say his nose was too big and his pimples were ugly
Yep
Latoya and Janet all getting noses like MJ wasn’t coincidental

Steve Lacy really is Prince
This tbf could be due in part to the sheer volume of work making up his catalouge
Like 40 albums (just under his own name) like yeah for sure some of its gonna fall to the way side
I mean even taking princes prime
For the actual masses it’s pretty much JUST pr and then Kiss
That’s about it from the actual mainstream
that was his first ever ever?
I said that many times
Bruh lmaoooooo she was different
Real down as b**** fr
Steve Lacy really is Prince
Nah this is straight outta Nonames book
Steve Lacy just hated having a TikTok crowd, it wasn’t a race thing.

I feel you
He did so much and wore so many faces
Soooo many different ways to be a prince fan

i can't get into it without sounding corny and because im white but he always rejected and got furious about being a popstar/big icon because the black community always rejected him
when he came up he was too flamboyant and weird, then his music wasnt funky enough then he was too mainstream and made "white music" with PR and it f***ed with his head
stevie and mj were black icons before they were big popstars and loved but prince always got rejected by them and felt unaccepted
