and im telling you thats a reductive take that ignores the actual reasons for why
Young people that I work with are getting paid extremely well lol
I don't support making excuses for laziness
more so an explanation
Young people that I work with are getting paid extremely well lol
thats anecdotal tho
doesnt really speak to the overall scheme of things
more so an explanation
I think the explanation is that they feel as though they are owed success
Regardless of how the world changes around them that has never been the case
Also I’m not an “old person”. And my generation aren’t old..yet. I’ve always given 100% despite living in economic downturn my entire life
Looked up “liberal jobs meme” to stir the pot and bro

But I was taught from an early age that hard work and success was important. And I definitely attribute my personal life trajectory (as someone who did not grow up as a rich trust fund kid) to that.
Baby, why don't you come over?
Red wine supernova, falling into me

They feel like this because complaining has been made to seem more valid and people value their own thoughts too much because of social media and partially because young people were raised in a way that rewarded them still for losing

so is everyone else but the point im tryna articulate here is that hard work is becoming less and less fruitful so younger people are becoming disillusioned

Disillusionment is entitlement.
“I deserve more than this so f*** it” is the entire problem.
