Not trying and instead whining online isn't the correct answer here

dismissing the cause of the issue to instead whine online about them isn’t either

I didn't dismiss the cause of the issue

They should be fired and forced to experience actual poverty until they want to be productive members of the society

The issue is looking for artificial discomfort to justify laziness

The answer is to experience actual hardships

the entire reason we work a job is to make money

you’re only working so you can sustain an existence under the economy

If the ENTIRE reason you work a job is to make money, then we just have entirely different worldviews.

    Doesn’t really fix the problem.

The issue is that younger people feel disengaged within the workplace because their wages no longer justify the work being asked

they default to prioritizing their mental health, and work-life balance instead. They watch their parents work hard, and still unable to climb out of debt and/or financial ruin.

    They just don’t give a s*** anymore.

thats ultimately the reason why, yeah.

unless you’re passionate about being a fry cook at mcdonalds, then yeah. that’s entirely the reason you show up, outside of hanging with friends you may have met there.

Work harder and smarter and you have a better chance of succeeding

If you don't succeed after doing this life wasn't promised to be fair

    It doesn't justify being lazy

the point is that the odds are becoming increasingly against their favor

to the point where trying doesn’t feel justified now. it’s an economic issue way before it’s an issue about being babied by parents and school teachers.

Yeah. I think we’ve discovered the crux of the issue in your thought process and why we are disagreeing. If it wasn’t for that fry cook, people couldn’t get fries.

It may sound silly but the role of every person is important to society and should be seen as such, and they should be proud of what they do. The Japanese and many other Asian cultures have this down to a T.

But I can tell you that nobody that has seen work as just a place to earn money while doing as little as possible has ever been successful in life.
