I don't think there is a justification beyond laziness for accepting a job at a certain pay and then deciding you don't want to actually do it once you have the job

Because people feel as though their sob story justifies laziness despite the fact that comparatively to other situations around the world and even in America throughout history they aren't having that hard of a time

All studies point at younger generations not being lazier just trying to find a better work-life balance because "working harder" isnt really a choice anymore so if u not gonna get paid accordly might as well focus on a better balance

I’m saying, could look at all the societal and economic factors that contribute to that of which facilitates that behavior

People in third world countries rampant with disease, famine, and lack of shelter and other resources work their asses off for peanuts to support their families man. If you want to use environment/economy as the primary factor.

The truth is that these American kids have been told all their lives they can’t fail, they’re special, and if they DO FAIL, well it’s because they’ve been victimized by somebody. They feel ENTITLED to more. They are so selfish and lack any degree of self awareness because no authority figure has ever really sat them down and told them they’re garbage during a formative age.

It’s relative. We’re accustomed to a certain lifestyle here, meaning we have less of a tolerance to those conditions you might find in a third-world country.

It’s a good thing that people here aren’t used to living with rampant disease and famine. We concern ourselves with a different level of problems that are relatively difficult for us.

and no one feels more f***ing victimized and entitled than an old white republican we shouldn’t even go there

All throughout gradeschool you’re preached about how getting good grades, going to college, and finding a job is the path towards a comfortable american existence but that image is increasingly becoming more of a fantasy for the average person. So, when they get out into the real world and learn that it wasn’t how it’s no longer how it was described, they feel rightfully cheated.
