rviagree on setlist. i like the songs but that intro, man at the garden, peekaboo, maybe tv off have no place at a superbowl halftime show of an artist with some generational iconic hits being skipped over
i understand it being heavy on his recent album but its still a super bowl performance

Some people obviously weren’t going to like that approach because it’s different. Me? I respect it and enjoyed it for what it was. Since he already did MAAD City and Alright in 2022. Could’ve slipped in Money Trees or a censored BDKMV but I get what he didn’t. Show was very deliberate in being in the present.

Prez 💎Feb 10, 2025Prezaside from what songs he played, my room-for-improvement comment is that the song transitions were not great. I liked the Samuel L parts but when kendrick started talking to his TPAB female vocalists it definitely hurt the momentum IMO. and teasing NLU before playing it really took the wind out of the NLU drop. the way he led into NLU prevented there from being any WOW moment when the beat dropped
it actually really annoys me how he deflated the NLU drop. that drop should have been the #1 moment of the set
his performance of it was great once he got to it though. haunting the way he spoke to drake through the camera
