I think the feature narrative against Kendrick is a bit overblown honestly.

Yeah Ngl he got a few wack features, but he got way more dope features then bad features

He bodied Cole in a feature Vz on here

But he’s rapping at a high level commercially that even people who don’t like lyrical s*** or call his music sleepy can’t sleep on it

I love morale but I would say it’s not the same even if the substance is greater there

id say the substance is mainly what im referring to in this comparison

2020’s Cole got Kendrick on a rapping technical level but he wasn’t f***ing with Kendrick at all in the 2010’s. Some people forget how big the gap was at one point.

My fav Kendrick feats are on TDE songs, Keem, the two A$AP feats, the rich the kid feat and the Fredo Santana song

He had actively ruined some tracks like the mask off remix

Then ofc. Kendrick had always been the deepest Artist of the bunch

Always been a fan of cole but he didn’t really hit this undeniable stride until post KOD but still 6 years of consistency is nothing to scoff at

but you’re right, he’s earned a lot of respect back thru his feature run these past couple years
