Like here’s an example.

The group has been working the same 5-6 songs for months now and they recorded demos recently of the songs. Like REALLY good demos. I heard all of them. One of the songs that was in a workshop phase had some guitar on it that was off key.

I told him it wasn’t very good and to give him some constructive criticism and to continue to workshop it.

This MF then basically tells him with no filter the guitar playing was garbage and he’s got to do better

And of course the guitarist lashes out about it and tells him he doesn’t wanna be in the band anymore.

My friend who told him that tells me this later and I was like

I think both are in the wrong but the guitarist lashing out was a culmination of several things with the main guy.

The main guy was right to point it out but he did it in such an idiotic way. I would’ve played the demo out loud and asked them if they thought something could be improved when it was obvious.
