i dont think he was a big influence or anything but one in a long list of artists prince liked. he was into the english rock scene (among many other things in the 70s)
he was mentioned once in passing in a book i read saying the above. and then another time mentioning Prince attending a Bowie concert in minneapolis in 1987

bowies influence is more in the artistry and not the sound usually cuz he wasnt really an innovator in that same way
