Well no, I mean there are a ton of artists of all genres everybody knows more than superficially
name the pop girlies/female rappers ur referring to
i think its part of both, some of it is the industry being genuinely surprised at the grassroots rise of a lot of these country artists and now trying to capitalize on it
part of it is driven by the 'indie country' type movement over the past decade or so that happened outside of the nashville machine. which has now grown to the point that it cant be ignored and has a real superstar coming from that side. and outside of the country industry i dont think any music industry people would have predicted this trend if you asked them 5 years ago. kinda weird how social media helped country so much
How long do you give it before it becomes the new monoculture

never
by design country music is never going to appeal to everyone like that. it can still be huge like it was in the 90s with people like Garth Brooks going diamond 9 times but it's always going to be an insular genre that exists in its own world. its how its been for 100 years now and part of why its lasting so long. its not a coincidence that the genres that rose to be the overall king (jazz, rock, etc.) ended up being replaced by something else
