He basically said that I only discuss avomas and stuff like that in a very short and brief way and I never go into detail about why I like what I like when in reality that isn't true because when I do do that. Nobody replies, and it get forgotten? Because my s*** posts are more memorable and get more engagement.

Yes. The industry sees an opportunity to loot and pillage another genre
i think its part of both, some of it is the industry being genuinely surprised at the grassroots rise of a lot of these country artists and now trying to capitalize on it
part of it is driven by the 'indie country' type movement over the past decade or so that happened outside of the nashville machine. which has now grown to the point that it cant be ignored and has a real superstar coming from that side. and outside of the country industry i dont think any music industry people would have predicted this trend if you asked them 5 years ago. kinda weird how social media helped country so much
All the school kids are sick of the books and learning, THEY DONT READ ANYMORE
My point was whenever I posted things nuance in detail about artists that people on here don't discuss often. These posts very often get ignored. And that leads to me wanting to s*** post more. Because it's easier and gets more engagement.
Well I mean it’s obviously hard for people to discuss an artist in depth that they don’t know like that. But there’s a hundred+ artists that you could bring up that everyone does know so I guess I was more responding to the complaint that only the 4-5 you mentioned are discussed.
