do you have anything to support it being the reason for such a huge commercial moment tho? like it seems to me like a lot of people saying things like that (not just you) are just relying on the stereotype view of country music = rural rednecks. it seems like a lazy attempt to explain the trend which really has a lot of other reasons
there are a lot of young people who have been streamers for years that listen to more country now. to me i see the biggest rise for country music is the cacs in urban areas who are listening more now instead of things like hip hop or rock. but im kinda pulling it out my ass i guess
this video is a good explanation of the reasoning behind my argument

It’s true, I listen to more country music now than I ever have
It’s true, I listen to more country music now than I ever have
Before 2023, I listened to 0 country artists. In 2023, I listen to 1 country artist.
You do the math.
Morgan Wallen's music is catchy as hell. Nice melodies
And kinda diverse. He does different styles of country
And women are attracted to him
He's like country Drake

I wish he wasn’t a racist
I don't think he is
and yet bro screeches out the n word when he gets mad 😵💫
What is BS about it? She released 15 versions of midnights for the sake of art?
Lunch time

!https://youtu.be/-tKcXPNItVY?si=ek_eRygeYJek6WVgim skimming thru the video, wow this guy is pretty insufferable and hes definitely looking down a lot on country artists/fans like most people do
my point is the same thing against him basically where he seems to be ignoring the fact that country music is very popular in urban areas
honestly simplest explanation might just be that its a c***thing. and for multiple reasons the whites in general are just loving country music wherever they live. city folks dressing up as cowboys to attend the morgan wallen concert etc.

morgan wallen = drake

country has also adapted elements of hiphop/trap production which makes it appeal to the demographic ur referring to more than before

i dont think he was mad in the video he was joking around with friends. still think its bad but its just in the common way of casual racist ignorance that ive heard with white people who think its ok to say the n word cuz "its not the hard r" and they think theyre just saying it to their friends like how rappers do
i hope he actually understands why he shouldnt say it now and removed the word from his vocabulary in any context
I’d rather talk about blood orange than pop girlies mane
Recently went back to the first two albums for the first time in years, Dev one of the most consistent in the game rn

yup. also other genres like rock and even occasional R&B blended into it to make it palatable to those people.
and it was in a lull quality-wise in the mainstream like a decade ago so its partially a bounce back from that. mainly cuz the current stuff appeals a lot more to women than the bro-country era did

Luke Combs --> J. Cole?

Nah but from this discussion sounds like this is the beginning of the mass adoption of country music
