MJs made sense in hindsight but his death came completely out of nowhere at the time
He was gearing up for a huge comeback. Literally 2 weeks away from the first show. Days away from flying to the UK and doing full dress rehearsals.

Yeah, I remember watching some of MJ’s last televised performances from 2001-2002 and seeing how doped up he was.
