Other than that you can start at the beginning (could be a little boring for modern readers) and go from there
There has also been multiple "reboots" and changes in writers to make things slightly easier to hop on. I think there was one for spidernan in the like 2000s after the Civil War event. I think there's one from like 2018 that is friendly for new readers relatively too.
If you choose to jump ahead and skip some (which is understandable because of the pure amount if like stories there are) be ready to google some stuff because past stories and events will be addressed.

Yep I was pretty much thinking I’m gonna read ultimate, seems way easier to consume than the og universe. Plus the fact that it like actually ends and is a complete story is really appealing to somebody coming from a manga background
