Fakemink is a young artist with an exciting new sound. Jpeg is a bitter old man making some of the worst bullshit I’ve ever heard.
Exciting new sound lol
veteran tour in a classroom sized venue just him and his laptop>>>>
was supposed to see him in a tiny room in 1H 2018 but it clashed with an international fest
Saw him in the ~autumn in a slightly bigger room & it was hard (saw him twice since then)
Almost went to the laydown show but I've been kinda lazy buying tickets post 2020
Although I do know two girls who went to the show, girls officially not scared
Veteran show 97% male presenting folks
2019 show was a fest so way more gender diverse
Although the AHMAC show was 95% male presenting folks

bro was my last show before lockdown and first when venues opened back up & they were such good high energy shows w his prime music s*** was great he moshed w us
Saw him open for turnstile too prob only person there for both them & w danny which i was really there cause i hadnt seen danny live yet
I listened yesterday and really liked it.
I really like abrasive noise though, Only thing that really bothered me was that I personally did not like Jpeg's flow being so fast on every single track, Wish he slowed it down a bit
Seems like all the white boys turned on Jpeg though, The rym scores and reviews are his lowest yet by far but from listening I did not get this impression at all.
Gonna have to spin it a few more times, I think a lot of the reception has more to do with stuff external to the music like the Earl beef mixed with most of the songs not having a lot of structure, I guess this truly is Experimental Rap.
Also I don't know how the F*** people with Scaring the hoes so high are rating this so low, lol. This musically is closest to that especially with the abrasive mixing and production
U Lay Down my Life for You d***riders are responsible for this btw
Nah ILDMLFY is fire, this "Experimental Rap" album is ass.
Worst peggy album.
Exciting new sound lol
People wilding with these comparisons. Just because he released something bad doesn't mean we gotta start pumping the next new sperglord
This sold me on listening. This s*** sound great not sure where rhe hate is from?

You nailed it. This album is really good even tho the rapping comes second to the crazy production. Probably the most it ever has on a Peggy album but there is no way I can call this even close to a bad album with the production and I’m shocked everyone is s***ting on it the way they are.
It's just loud, abrasive, glitchy, bleep bloops, with cheap generic sounding rock guitars, and dubstep sounds thrown at the wall.
Just Flume and 100 Gecs with rapping and terrible mixing 🤮
Definitely don’t think this holds a candle to the comms favorite projects but this is not that bad of an album, just a little disappointing if you’ve been a fan for a while. Not a definitive album, more like a fan service one if you just like his music already

Ill b honest twit auto played halfway thru and i didnt here first part . But i thnj it would be cool without that
Also I don't know how the F*** people with Scaring the hoes so high are rating this so low, lol. This musically is closest to that especially with the abrasive mixing and production
Albums are nothing alike man
I Lay Down gets some hate but it's genuinely not far off his best albums.
It's my favorite of his n i been here since Veteran

Yeah it’s an incredible project, for me he’s never missed but this one is just underwhelming. I do like some songs though but I’m just a huge Peggy fan
Wait this is actually good @aristilde
