I am a pre-cornballs fan and I definitely think people are negative dogpiling because of either Earl or they have hated on him all along.
I just don't think people really give a s*** about the earl stuff in relation to actually enjoying the music or not idk i feel like there's a huge overlap in fanbases where that doesn't really make sense. there's a negative dogpile because the album is his worst by far and honestly a really annoying listen
people hating on the production are really forcing it
my only complaints are his vocal performance. The flows and subject matter get stale pretty quickly, but his production chops are still amazing
Free Chauvin so we can put that b**** in the ground
is one of my faves
Chat a top 3 song on there & will be in his set list for years to come
There are plenty of legit criticisms for this album, but calling this thing derivative basic dubstep is an insanely reductive and uncharitable take. if there’s someone else out there making a beat like the one on Yen please point me to them, thank you.

Yes bro when people said that they were definitely referring to Yen, you’re very intelligent

'Nobody' is saying the album is entirely bad, there's a lot of tracks after all
It's moreso that we are focusing on our grievances imo
There's still a lot of great production
But our annoyance with the poor guitar use on LayDown is carried over + the brostep elements feel unnecessary
The fast flow is quite annoying given it's used so heavily
Still many good/great moments
I could probably pick 8 tracks that I enjoy quite alot
NMF is arguably the top JPEGMAFIA fan on here, he like me obviously doesn't hate it all but we ( like SfSo, misfit etc etc) hold him to a high standard

Nobody is mad about the earl stuff
Although I'm sure we all think it was goofy
Especially given that all the people he beefs with are people he probably likes
(Earl, Alc, Armand Hammer, Freddie)
It's not impacting how we're hearing this
Although tbf I'm happy he's not dissing his ex for once, or maybe he has & that's a benefit to the fast rapping obscuring everything
