Yeah, CRISC is more the "would be nice to have if I got the time" cert, but I'd probably only start studying for it realistically once I'm ready to jump into a GRC role. The CISA would be way more meaningful short-term.
Did you use any specific resources for Sec+? Jason Dion and Mike Meyer seem to be the gold standard. I'm hoping to get it done within a month's time.
Mainly Professor Messer for the actual content and Jason Dion for his practice exams. Tossed the Messer vids on at 1.25x/1.5x speed and burned through those while taking notes, then did a Dion exam when I felt kinda confident. Studied up on the things I missed, took another Dion exam, and repeated until I took all the exams. I did get the Darril Gibson book, but didn't utilize it a ton.
The Dion exams were actually kinda tough compared to the actual test. I believe he "guarantees" you'll pass if you get 80% on his exam, and I'd say that's pretty accurate.

Yeah, just trying to get my foot in the door type beat. What other certs would you suggest for entry level network admin/systems admin type of work?
entry level IT jobs pay is pretty piss tbh. i am talking IT here not coding which imo deserves it's own thread cause it kinda hijacked this one already
