if your 5'7 180 is that considered over weight to any of you i workout 5x a week or what would you call that

Unless you are jacked and fully juiced up you are most likely fat at 180 at that height. At 5 '7 your ultimate natty filled out frame wont go past 170lbs. Your ultimate goal is probably someone like Arman Tsarukyan and he is a 155er light weight

i dont got a stomach but it would be very hard for me to get to 155 if i wanted to try it

Even if you are super genetically gifted like Joaquin Buckley at 5'7 you are at best a welter weight at 170lbs. There is a reason he moved down to welter wight from middle weight. You cant perform optimally at 185 lbs at 5'7
I think I’ve been clean eating for so long my body literally starts shaking and veins literally popping out of my arms whenever I have like a slice of pizza or ice cream
what is happening

im sorry but this is a bizarre argument
if you’re using the professional athlete argument, NFL running backs will be 5’7 and over 200 pounds without any fat on their bodies. it’s 5’7 bodybuilders that compete over 200 pounds. 180 is absolutely a normal weight for that height.
and to be clear, ik you said “unless you are jacked” but there’s a spectrum between “jacked” and “fat” that I think most people fall into

the better answer is relative to things like waist size or like how much you lift relative to your weight. if you can bench over 180/squat over 270 and your waist is a 33 or under, you’re probably good. these are lower thresholds but weight loss is probably the way to go if you aren’t there yet.
more complicated than that but without seeing a pic id say those are good benchmarks

Why you talking about fighters? lol and idk where you got the 170 lb number but that ain’t really true. It depends on the goals. Boris Sheiko claims 198 lbs is the ideal powerlifting weight for someone 5’7

No
But total weight isn’t as important as like BF% when it comes to body composition

Sure you can be a fairly decent looking 5'7 guy and be over 200 lbs with 15% body fat. Look at volkonovski when he was playing rugby at 5'6, 200 lbs but we talking optimal performance and bodybuilding here. You are delusional if you think he could win a bodybuilding competition with that body composition.
There are some 5'7 guys that can genetically surpass 180lbs naturally but that's super rare and if you are one of them you are wasting your talents here and should have shoot for NFL lol.

Well I don’t know if we’re necessarily talking bodybuilding here. Not sure if that’s the guys goal. Plus I don’t know how much natural genetics really matter when it comes to bodybuilding competitions considering how prominent juicing is.

He asked if being 180 lbs at 5'7 is over weight.
For bodybuilding standards out of comp anything over 10-12% is considered soft, 15-20% is normal looking and 20% plus is F.A.T positive. As a natural he wont ever be in the first category at that height. Frank Zane won Mr Olympia at 5'9 weighing less than 185 lbs and he was juicing his ass off!
If you workout for 10 years and manage to acquire a shredded body weighing 170 at 5'7 you maybe able to pull off looking athletic at 200 lbs if you fill out everything with glycogen and drink 2 litres of water before weigh in.
