Hey, I'm trying to get heavy into work out, but don't really have the motivation. I only do basic work put not hard-core work out. I want abs.
Where do yall get your motivation? What is it?
Abs is diet, you gonna have to cut to see them. I can't motivate, really no one can.
You just gotta do it even when you don't want to.

Any tips for a skinny guy going to the gym for the first time?
For now just get in there. Learn the basics, develop the form on compound movements and just stick to it. Don’t over complicate s***, don’t buy any damn supplements yet just get in there and move some weight !
Get a 3 day a week newbie friendly program, I recommend ‘starting strength’ , and run it for a year.
1998 calories
148 g protein

Look into how many calories u need to maintain your weight and then add 200-300 calories over maintenance daily to build muscle
Eat enough protein
You'll see crazy results in the first few months/year as a beginner
Eating & sleeping is just as important as lifting
think back to when i did a bicycle tour at 18 years old and gained 20lbs in 10 weeks, basically all in my legs

New video from Minus The Gym on lifters dying young. Had no clue that this guy was on the plant-based wave tbh, I just loved following his channel for low/no equipment exercises.
Seriously guys, you can see that there are top tier elite athletes and lifters that rock the plant based diet. It's easily doable. You all know I'm a hardline vegan but reducing your meat and dairy consumption is gonna do you a world of good. Think about it.
