Wouldn’t he look like this no? Sometimes I forget how common anabolic steroids are in the bodybuilding community

Nope he wouldn’t. A lot of people have a very skewed perception of anabolics and the importance of genetics. Arnold and any Mr.Olympia contender has one in a million(possibly even better) genetics and work ethic out the ass that allowed him to get that big. Now sure, if he had today’s anabolic stacks he’d have got even bigger since more d**** got discovered etc but he was still on a good amount with top genetics and only got to 235 lbs lean. There’s a s*** ton of guys at your gym I bet, who take anabolics and you’d never know because they’re only 6’0 200 lbs “lean” with s*** muscle insertions. I met so many guys at school this year who sauce(take test) and are barely bigger than me(im 190ish lbs). As far as the fitness industry, sheesh don’t even get me started. Damn near 70% + of popular fitness guys on ig/YouTube are saucing lower doses but won’t come out for whatever reasons. Guys who aren’t even monsters like David Laid are very likely on gear. I mean look at Zyzz, he was honest about saucing his brains out and damn near all these new IG guys are bigger but claim natural
I don’t really wanna become huge like that, would feel weird to me and thankfully it’s extremely difficult to achieve unless you take steroids.
Even if you tried and hopped on all the gear in the world you prolly could never get like that. And that’s not a diss at all, the genetics that are required for that is about as rare as someone being 7’0+
Bad genetics is never an excuse not to improve my physical condition but man I got a long way to go before I’ll feel satisfied with my physique
You gonna get there bro just hop on some RAD-140

Man at end of the day my genetics shouldn’t really be discouraging me. I’ve been lifting for over 3 months now and only see slight results, but imma have to keep going. Then I realized half of the time I wasn’t eating adequately and wasn’t pushing myself hard enough during lifts. Currently focusing on bulking...

Yea bro if it came out wrong then my fault. I do NOT agree with people s***ting on their genetics and using that as an excuse. You gon get close to your personal goals bro. Almost any man can get in great shape if he diets and trains well enough, was just pointing out that it’s damn near impossible for 99% of all people to get close to where guys like Arnold/olympians are even with gear.

Nah it’s all good fam, really for myself I’m so glad I’ve been this consistent for the first time and determined to reach my goals. It sucks that my gym will be closed for the next 2 weeks, but I’ll have to continue it with calisthenics.
Typically does it take like a year to see true difference? Just asking
Soon

this my goal body as well. i’m about 10 pounds and 3% of fat away
who is this tho
Working out after knee surgery is a b**** fellas. We gotta lose this weight tho!!

You have to think even longer term when building muscle. Get your protein, ya veg/fruit/nuts, vitamins, drinking water, sleeping right plus working out consistently all on point and 6 months to a year is a reasonable time frame to see positive changes to your body. The eating better and getting enough sleep mad big differences for me once I got those on point. Year on year is how you build upon those good results though. Also bear in mind that some guys are on gear and also get paid to train and do nothing else, lifestyle can impact results/speed of results. I'd reccomend NOT getting too gassed up on the bodybuilder/social meda fitness guy body type - you are not them and how your body is built is unique to you. Like I think swimmers, ballet dancers and gymnasts have amazing physiques, that's more what I aim for so things like pilates/barre are part of my exercising. Someone else might really like that bodybuilder body type so they won't have interest in pilates/barre as it won't pack muscle on the same way lots of weightlifting does.

Honestly really depends on the person. If you on the skinny/skinnyfat side and you follow a decent program, I think 6 months to a year is a time frame where other people will really notice a difference.
In a year you can put on 5-18 lbs of lean tissue depending on your genes and work ethic and that’s a hell of a noticeable difference even on the lower end !

Aight that sounds great fam i really appreciate the advice you’ve given itt. Currently I’m tryna bulk (Goal is to reach 165-170) then begin on the cutting process. I’m partially in the skinny-fat physique, not too noticeable but with my upper legs and abdomen (since that’s where most of my weight collects).
I’m determined to get shredded by next summer for sure
I’m sure this has been asked a billion times but I’m new to this thread/part of KTT 😓
Is there a thread or good place I can go to find a workout schedule while stuck at home?
My town hasn’t opened gyms since March and I feel so unhealthy
I currently have a pull up bar, resistance band, jump rope, 2 thirty lb dumbbells, an exercise ball and an adjustable bench so hopefully I can mix all this s*** together and make something work 😪 it’s hard to get back into it fam, I feel so out of it

Skipped a day smh, but I had too because we had to fix the car...
Going Monday, family that hasnt seen me in a while noticed I'm larger than I used to be.
That's enough motivation right there.
