It gets a lot of s*** and rightfully so for trying to do very complicated movements for time. And those f***ing stupid pull-ups they do
That being said, the idea of mixing HIIT and lifting can still be good. I just really wouldn’t recommend a CrossFit gym

I know those pull ups, imagine being proud of doing those in public
The only thing that is holding me back is that crossfit is just too associated with injuries and i dont like that at all, also that they do some pretty technicals excercises and butcher them up for high reps so i really dont know

Yeah, I would say to find a good PT and just learn the Olympic lifts. That’s the best part of crossfit anyway. All that other s*** just extra

Guess thats the best call
Thanks fam
officially hit below 200 today
i’ve lost 25-ish pounds so far
body fat is around 29.5, muscle around 41%. still got some ways to go but i’m surprised i’m doing this and stuck to it
also seeing actual numbers helps cause i’d have no idea if i wasn’t tracking calories and using smart scale and some apps that crunch the data and break down the progress

Like Smoofer said the principles behind it are great but the execution is a bit ambitious imo.
I’ve incorporated their HIIT cardio workouts in mine and seen great results. With weight training I’ll alternate between a strength day and endurance day to mix it up but that’s just altering reps and rest time between sets.
If you’re curious I’d implement some of the crossfit principles and see how you find it but yeah wouldn’t implement their weight training because fundamentally I couldn’t trust myself if fatigued to perform lift movements properly. I would most definitely get injured.
