It depends
They both can basically do the same thing, arginine takes longer to go in effect and can be rougher on the stomach than citrulline.
They’re great for a non-stim pre workout, gets the blood going. Having the blood flowing makes the pump better.
Is it going to make you stronger or build more muscle? Ehh, but it can make the lifting session more enjoyable and easier to complete if you need an extra kick.

Fully depends on the time of the day but i usually get a little snack right before i hit the gym. Like after work i’ll grab a banana or a kitkat along with some caffeine and finish outside the gym.
