There were ISIS prisoners held in Afghanistan which were liberated once the Taliban took power, not because they're allies, but because the Taliban doesn't believe in western judicial processes, so anyone within said prisoners were freed with the expectation of either being re-tried or innocent as a token of islamic brotherhood, but obviously ISIS members who are like mortal enemies with the Taliban just took it as a means of immediatedly regrouping and gathering more resources, likely over pakistani borders given they have a presence in Balochistan (Pakistan) and Kashmir (India/Pakistan)
Stupid ass Taliban
holy s***. they think we’re stupid
This s*** is really exposing the pro-imperialist agenda of the mainstream media.
Hopefully this’ll wisen people up on that front.
not 100% confirmed but likely ISIS attacks given that they're now in a position to continue battling the Taliban as a state entity. Also disruption of US/Taliban relations right now by causing more chaos. however US intelligence supposedly knew about this days in advance and did nothing so draw your own conclusions
Is al qaeda still around too
But trump said he eliminated ISIS
Is al qaeda still around too
i don't know as much about al-qaeda like i do other islamic sects so i dont want to give false or uniformed info.afaik some militants still exist which subscribe to AQ but they arent as centralized as an organization anymore and most of their former practitioners diverted into other groups, could be wrong on that one
Is this true or just fearmongering

it's just a rehash of the info i posted earlier about military intelligence knowing about the attacks in advance but not acting on it

They didn't act on it? I thought they stopped evacuating (at least NATO partners did right?). It was even here in the media that they expected a terrorist attack at the airport

fearmongering/clickbait
media can say whatever they want with no proof

They didn't change anything about the evacuations (on their own admission, i posted the article with quotes from the military themselves a few pages ago, not speculation) or checkpoint process, citing that they wouldn't be able to differentiate suicide bombers or similar threats anyway

I believe you. I'm just asking if the Americans were the only ones not to act on it. I could be wrong but i thought other countries stopped because it was too dangerous and they expected a terrorist attack

Oh, I see, that's a good question. I honestly don't know about others, I just know Americans didn't act on it. The Taliban themselves clearly didn't act on it either clearly since they had losses sustained through the bombings as well, but who knows if they knew. There's a good chance that other NATO allies did indeed act on it and not the US, but then again I don't know how many non-american or afghan allies are still there comparatively.

Overnight, warnings emerged from Western capitals about a threat from IS, which has seen its ranks boosted by the Taliban’s freeing of prisoners during its advance through Afghanistan.
Shortly before the attack, the acting U.S. ambassador to Kabul, Ross Wilson, said the security threat at the Kabul airport overnight was “clearly regarded as credible, as imminent, as compelling.” But in an interview with ABC News, he would not give details.

But the night before, a senior U.S. official warned of a “specific” and “credible” threat at the airport by an affiliate of the Islamic State, the Islamic State Khorasan, or ISIS-K, and Western governments began urging people to leave the area.
Even with such a specific warning, military officials said, it would be very difficult to pick out a suicide bomber with a concealed explosive vest in a huge throng of people, like that at the airport.
