aglowI haven't. But I can't imagine them being much worse than turning his character into a bitter old man (the ultimate regression).
Instead of putting Luke in a position where he was about to murk his nephew (reminder that this is the same character who never gave up on saving his father - literally one of the most evil guys in the galaxy), they could easily put Luke in a situation where he senses the dark side in Ben, and through continued pressure, the situation culminates in Luke (reluctantly) giving up on training Ben - and this results in Ben snapping. Trying to paint Ben's actions somewhat justifiable via Luke's actions is nonsensical and even a lil questionable.
Not only does the previous film establish Kylo as an antagonistic force (the mf killed han ffs), but TLJ reinforces this idea that Kylo is the true villain of the trilogy - in fact the idea of him killing Snoke is genius (the execution of the scene could have been better tho)
bro Luke refusing to train kylo (his own family who he’s sensing the dark side within) is the most out of character Luke moment possible.

It is EXACTLY in line with Luke as a character to have a IMMEDIATE IMMEASURABLE FEAR OF THE NEXT VADER and to FOR ONE MOMENT contemplate ending it then and there out of that immediate immense fear he has for the future and for him to UNDERSTAND THAT and IMMEDIATELY TAKE A PAUSE and REALIZE what he was about to do was WRONG.
It is NOT in line for Luke to PURPOSELY REFUSE & NEGLECT HIS OWN FAMILY FROM FURTHER TRAINING JUST BECAUSE he senses the dark side in Ben when he KNOWS he can guide Ben out of that Darkness

Bingo, THAT'S when Luke changed. From that point on he refused to engage because he finally understood. He became better, he became wiser.

It clearly isn't "ed" because quite a few people itt agree with it, for what it's worth. Those shows you mentioned are riddled with problems too, so I don't see the relation.
