This beyond dumb lmao
Before streaming you had literal people buying, radio and music videos that all counted and buying was a direct 1+
No s*** people are more streaming now because thats the dominant format
Gods Plan was around when mp3s were still selling well and it got an auto 1+ for every sold, meanwhile streaming and especially streaming since Covid has made it the hardest to get a 1+ and Billboard has made it harder for a 1+ to count than ever before. It is literally againt the artist and one of the reasons artists the kast two years are having record selling "lows" than ever. NLU is actually bigger than what its being shown or counted if you really want to be technical.
So you saying MJ with cds and vinyls and tapes dont count because orchestras way back you could only hear them at the concert so thus it dont count?
This beyond a stupid argument and doesnt even paint the full picture.
And NLUs record breaking isnt just on Spotify anyways. Its also Apple and Youtube. And this is still an enormous feat. Which is why no one else is hitting even with "all these users" lmfao.
And even with all that, there is no barring with streaming thus showing what people are literally listening too of "freewill".
the record in linked your thread is "the fastest rap song to reach 200 million streams on Spotify"
sales wouldnt count for that regardless
Ah this would make sense if Kanye's global Tap hit Carnival or Drakes last few global rap hits from Dogs and CLB were even half of NLU.
They don’t even realize by saying that they’re also completely downplaying Drakes last few hits
NLU broke every record not only on Spotify but also Apple Music and Youtube as well
Idk what these "semantics" or "actuallys" are itt
And NLU broke all these records without having any mp3s sold and its at the time, current, when billboard has f***ed over stream counting the most
And thru all the adversities it still did it
The song is technically even bigger than what its being counted for if you really want to be technical
Keep coping
They don’t even realize by saying that they’re also completely downplaying Drakes last few hits
Yup lmao
And one of the few reasons Adele and Taylor is still amongst the top selling is because THEY STILL DO PHYSICALS AND GET A DIRECT 1+
This is pure streams during the worst era of stream conversion
These niggas are stupid while trying to act so smug about basic chart data and context they dont understand
Weird how Spotify (even tho NLU massive number isnt just Spotify) popularity only mayters with Kendrick when you can also to a direct comparison to his peers that also had massive stream only hits that STILL DONT EVEN EQUAL HALF OF WHAT KENDRICK DID
Everybody wanna talk about numbers until it comes to they numbers

nope.
Gods plan still has highest first week streams in US across all platforms and more records.
Yup lmao

It also takes thousands of a full song stream to equal a 1+ btw and it takes even more for Billboard to recognize it
This is the worst era for artists
And people could have easily listened to something like Carnival or Family Matters this many times that have massive push as well and streaming gives them no barriers to pick or choose between songs that are on equal footing (like FM and NLU)
Like I said keep COPING

this is record is streams not sales though
1 stream is 1 stream
The only constant for me is that I still don't use streaming
but I'm available to s***post for either side for a nominal fee
Not use streaming? Stop lying even YouTube counts

I'm true to the game, I'll miss a release if I can't get the link but no streaming for me
Did Kendrick do this yet?
https://twitter.com/PopCrave/status/968215929694969857Has Drake done this yet?

This is false and something a lot of people have been lying about.
The Great Divine noticed that a lot of Kendrick fans had too high expectations for Morale's first week sales so she wanted to warn people. And she was spot on. She said it would do around 300-375K instead of the +450K that many Kendrick fans though it would do (don't forget the viral tweets from Kendrick accounts saying 1m first week). And she was correct - it did 295K. Telling the truth isn't hating
"warn people"
Warn people about f***ing what? Heightened expectations? Against who? People who don't like Kendrick?
Two people on twitter claiming 1 millions sales does not warrant a thinly veiled Kendrick hate thread
The world is evil, we need more clean ass music
Was saying this when Donda dropped but they dont hear it tho
