Before streaming you had literal people buying, radio and music videos that all counted and buying was a direct 1+

No s*** people are more streaming now because thats the dominant format

Gods Plan was around when mp3s were still selling well and it got an auto 1+ for every sold, meanwhile streaming and especially streaming since Covid has made it the hardest to get a 1+ and Billboard has made it harder for a 1+ to count than ever before. It is literally againt the artist and one of the reasons artists the kast two years are having record selling "lows" than ever. NLU is actually bigger than what its being shown or counted if you really want to be technical.

So you saying MJ with cds and vinyls and tapes dont count because orchestras way back you could only hear them at the concert so thus it dont count?

This beyond a stupid argument and doesnt even paint the full picture.

And NLUs record breaking isnt just on Spotify anyways. Its also Apple and Youtube. And this is still an enormous feat. Which is why no one else is hitting even with "all these users" lmfao.

And even with all that, there is no barring with streaming thus showing what people are literally listening too of "freewill".

It also takes thousands of a full song stream to equal a 1+ btw and it takes even more for Billboard to recognize it

This is the worst era for artists

And people could have easily listened to something like Carnival or Family Matters this many times that have massive push as well and streaming gives them no barriers to pick or choose between songs that are on equal footing (like FM and NLU)

This is false and something a lot of people have been lying about.

The Great Divine noticed that a lot of Kendrick fans had too high expectations for Morale's first week sales so she wanted to warn people. And she was spot on. She said it would do around 300-375K instead of the +450K that many Kendrick fans though it would do (don't forget the viral tweets from Kendrick accounts saying 1m first week). And she was correct - it did 295K. Telling the truth isn't hating
