Nah but you think this song blew up cuz there’s more people on this earth? No one else has done this so that point is invalid
nah more users
would be cooler if this was done with a song by its own merit, completely unrelated to the competitor, but history made either
Where were the Kendrick stans on here saying he'd do 450k? She posted a tweet of some delusional fan saying he'd do 1 million and acted like it was a common opinion among Kendrick fans
Most of the first few pages of that thread are s***posts, some people correcting those posts saying he wouldn't sell that much and Drake stans like you saying "He HAS to do 500k"
it was literally a collection of cherry picked tweets
This is false and something a lot of people have been lying about.
The Great Divine noticed that a lot of Kendrick fans had too high expectations for Morale's first week sales so she wanted to warn people. And she was spot on. She said it would do around 300-375K instead of the +450K that many Kendrick fans though it would do (don't forget the viral tweets from Kendrick accounts saying 1m first week). And she was correct - it did 295K. Telling the truth isn't hating
Ngl really glad i got that warning.. gave me time to prepare and adjust the sales spreadsheet.
it was literally a collection of cherry picked tweets
One of them said "a million". Like anyone in their right mind would really think that
The first few pages of the thread tells it all
And all have the same taste? Taylor can’t even do this
i mean its a popular song so i would expect it to be popular...
i dont really get the question

master manipulators
its like nfl contract numbers where the last QB to get a deal is gonna be the highest paid bc the salary cap keeps going up
like there's probably more people using streaming now than when god's plan dropped
Damn, this after the previous post, what a nasty trovhoey horse strategy, sheesh
"Yeah wasn't gonna listen but then I looked up the lyrics and saw GOD'S PLAN mentioned so I decided to stream it 10 times"
Niggas listened to NLU for 3 minutes and 35 seconds unimpressed until they heard “God’s plan”
s***s no different than how they say that Kendrick fans thought the beef would end Drake's career. Nobody older than 12 thought that losing a rap beef would end one of the biggest careers in music.
it was literally a collection of cherry picked tweets
Exactly and when s*** like that is done to Drake these d*** esters are quick to call “hate” but when it’s the reverse it’s just a “spot on prediction” or “warning” lmao
Don't seem to be helping drakes new drops
he hasnt been dropping smash singles like that tbh
imagine if one dance dropped rn tho...
best way is to do it when making the thread
make it in Kendrick sxn & there’ll be a checkbox to crosspost it when you draft it up
Ah ok ty
And ty bro i appreciate it!
Nah but you think this song blew up cuz there’s more people on this earth? No one else has done this so that point is invalid
Gods Plan was also sold when mp3s were still selling so it was exactly 1+ for every sold
NLU is pure streaming which it takes many streams to equal a 1+
NLU is bigger overall
And its record breaking isnt just Spotify
NLU broke every record not only on Spotify but also Apple Music and Youtube as well
Idk what these "semantics" or "actuallys" are itt
And NLU broke all these records without having any mp3s sold and its at the time, current, when billboard has f***ed over stream counting the most
And thru all the adversities it still did it
The song is technically even bigger than what its being counted for if you really want to be technical
Keep coping
global rap hit with 600 million users streams faster than global rap hit with 200 million users

This beyond dumb lmao
Before streaming you had literal people buying, radio and music videos that all counted and buying was a direct 1+
No s*** people are more streaming now because thats the dominant format
Gods Plan was around when mp3s were still selling well and it got an auto 1+ for every sold, meanwhile streaming and especially streaming since Covid has made it the hardest to get a 1+ and Billboard has made it harder for a 1+ to count than ever before. It is literally againt the artist and one of the reasons artists the kast two years are having record selling "lows" than ever. NLU is actually bigger than what its being shown or counted if you really want to be technical.
So you saying MJ with cds and vinyls and tapes dont count because orchestras way back you could only hear them at the concert so thus it dont count?
This beyond a stupid argument and doesnt even paint the full picture.
And NLUs record breaking isnt just on Spotify anyways. Its also Apple and Youtube. And this is still an enormous feat. Which is why no one else is hitting even with "all these users" lmfao.
And even with all that, there is no barring with streaming thus showing what people are literally listening too of "freewill".
global rap hit with 600 million users streams faster than global rap hit with 200 million users

Ah this would make sense if Kanye's global Tap hit Carnival or Drakes last few global rap hits from Dogs and CLB were even half of NLU.
