I only acknowledge the first three seasons. It's clear they had no clue what they were doing afterwards. The potential of an ATLA franchise was killed the very second they decided to set Korra in a 1920s style setting. What the f*** were they thinking?

Avatar was lighting in a bottle. They found something special with that writing room. The creators with more creative control just don’t know wtf they’re doing

Zaheer mightve been the best villain of the whole series imo
Even better than Azula
Finally watched it and.. honestly , even with the flaws, I liked it a lot. Here’s my thoughts without spoiling much.
Story - it’s a good premise and it starts strong, but they tried to fit so much into a short amount of time and the pacing was sped up way too much after the first 30 or so mins. But I didn’t hate it. I just think they could’ve done more with it, I did love the climax though.
Characters - another weak point, Aang, Katara & the Villain are great. But they’re really the only focus. The rest of the team seems great but besides fighting and another scene they don’t do enough imo. And a lot of iconic characters are missing. I know Aang is supposed to be the focal point but it would’ve been nice to give more moments to the supporting cast after spending so long away from them.
Animation/Action - 10/10. The film is gorgeous and the action was the best in the franchise. No exaggeration when I say it’s on par with alot of modern anime’s and you can see the influence.
I think this is a solid starting point for the studio, and I hope the leak doesn’t ruin their future plans. I love this franchise still (yes including korra to an extent), And I look forward to whatever comes next.

Thank you. It's the star wars affect. The first three entries was the lightening in a bottle. Everything else afterwards is just mid.

Well let's settle down now we still got Andor
Cursed ass franchise
Always sad when someone(s) creates something great and can just never ever do it again
Animation is good. The story is very bland. Between action you'll get only exposition. Hits your typical beats. Designed for the Netflix generation. The villains are paper-thin/super underdeveloped. Main bad guy is the usual misguided revenge quest type
Also the "My cabbages" guy deserved a better/funnier setpiece"

Not only that but apparently Nickelodeon/paramount has tried to undermine the franchise

They can never take away how great the original series was. We will never see anything like it again.
