Our first camera was invented within the same relative time period lmao. You keep acting like they went from living in caves to suddenly having it all figured out. They were already an advanced civilization for the time period they were in haha. They had cities with advanced logistical systems, cities powered by coal. The poorest relative nation was the southern water tribe and that seemed more due by choice than anything else. You take a nation that can control earth and metal, one that can control fire and electricity, another nation that can control water and ice, and another that can control air and give them 70 years to work together towards a common goal, you get exactly what you saw in Korra. Our own civilization would have advanced Just as rapidly if we were given the same ability and circumstances and we know this because relatively speaking, our own civilization did without it. So imagine how far along we’d be if all the elements within the technology we use today, which when broken down can all be traced back to 1 of the 4 basic elements, we could control with our minds we’d Literally be in space right now. Idk how that’s not believable
